Stylish Gas Fire Pit

A gas fire pit may be the best solution for your outdoor space if you live in an urban area. With fire pit designs, you can use your patio fire pit to put together a relaxing retreat. In addition, you may want to use a fire pit table for additional outdoor seating.

If you live in a more rural area, you may find that a propane fire pit is more accessible than gas. If you live in an area that is not connected to gas, then you may purchase propane tanks and enjoy a warm evening fire with your family. With fire pit designs, you can still create your perfect outdoor haven.

Gas Fire Pit

One advantage of a gas fire pit is that it is quite versatile. For example, you may choose to burn ceramic direct vent logs, lava rock, fire glass, ceramic balls, etc. Each options creates a completely different look and complements a multitude of designs. Other advantages include producing fewer pollutants than a wood burning fire, once set up it's very easy to start a fire, and there is very little maintenance. The disadvantage of a gas fire is that it does not look like a wood fire and setting up the gas fire pit will be more expensive than wood burning fire pit.

Fire pit designs allow you to create an outdoor space that suits you and your family. You could create a very modern space with a fire pit table containing fire glass that burns natural gas. Assemble metal chairs with gray cushions around the table and you will have the beginnings of a relaxing comfortable space. You could enhance this space with large planters used to grow bamboo. This will help define your outdoor space and accent your modern style.

On the other hand, you may prefer a more traditional outdoor space. You can place vented gas logs in your patio fire pit. Surround the fire pit with wooden chairs and a few accent tables. Add a few plants at the edge of your space to define your outdoor area, and you will have the perfect backyard oasis.

Note that with any of the design ideas I've listed above, you can always substitute propane. Just make sure that what ever you decide to burn is rated for propane and not natural gas. Propane is delivered in pressurized canisters in a liquid form. Once you hook it up to your fire pit and start burning the propane, it immediately turns into gas and burns just like natural gas.
